Hoar Park Craft Village

Wednesday is a biker meet, special menu rates for a bacon batch and great cup of tea.. friendly staff.warm and clean. Nice place to while away a few hours.

We came here today with our toddler hoping for a nice family brunch with a view of the farm... It was understandably busy at lunchtime so we sat down and cleared our own table waiting for a staff member to wipe it down. All staff seemed rushed off their feet. The lady at the till told me it would be a 40 minute wait for food. We decided to stay as by the time we would get our toddler in the car and find somewhere else it would likely be 40 minutes anyway. 40 minutes passed by and customers who ordered after us were receiving their food. I asked the lady at the till how much longer we will be waiting and we were horrified to learn they had lost our order... They said they would prioritise it and bring it out in the next 5/10 mins after I had to specify our order again. Finally (after chasing a second time and a total 1hr5 wait) I received my small breakfast but had to send it back as it didn't have the changes I'd asked for. Finally, they brought the correct order out and my partner and daughter were still waiting for their food. When asking a staff member where there's were, they looked surprised like we'd only ordered a small breakfast to share between the three of us. I had to specify again they had ordered a sausage bap and a children's sausage and chips. Finally some food came out, the sausage bap was correct but they brought out a sausage and egg bap for our daughter. We had to send it back as it wasn't the children's sausage and chips we ordered. I've eaten at many establishments in my time and never quite experienced service like today. If the tearoom can't keep up with so many customers they should close off some of the seating areas so they can give customers quality service. We definitely won't be returning.

The food at this restaurant was delicious and well worth the price. The staff were extremely friendly. However, the cleanliness of the place leaves much to be desired. I picked up a menu and it was filthy - the menus are laminated, so there is no excuse for not wiping them down regularly. The whole cafe appears to be in need of a deep clean. With such a beautiful view from the window in a lovely countryside setting, the restaurant really needs to step up its cleanliness game. Come on, folks, you have a great opportunity here - make the most of it!

We drove out to Hoar Park for lunch and to explore, but were disappointed with our experience. The inside of the restaurant was not clean, with dirty tables and holders for sauces. The menu was also limited. We decided to sit outside for a cup of tea and tea cake, but were surprised when it arrived in takeaway containers. We were hoping for a more traditional serving with a mug of tea and a plate for the tea cake. Overall, we left feeling disappointed with the experience.
