Welcome Parlour Ice Cream

This ice cream shop has a super cute, old-fashioned style that I really enjoy. I love looking at all the nostalgic sweets from my childhood memories. What I especially love is that they make their ice cream floats with bottled Boylan's soda, allowing you to choose any flavor you want from the fridge instead of the usual fountain soda.

I stumbled upon this place on Google Maps and I'm so glad I did! My friend and I tried the espresso chocolate flake and the double chocolate, even though we usually don't like a lot of different flavors. Both desserts were fantastic! I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

I tried a 'flight' of ice cream (4 small scoops). All were top-notch, but the Earl Grey was my favourite. The dairy-free selections were just as delicious as the regular ice cream.

I am obsessed with ice cream. I'd heard about Welcome Parlour from a friend so, I had to check out this place in North Vancouver even though I live in Kitsilano. Needless to say, hands down, the best, creamiest, most flavourful ice cream I've ever had! I had a "flight" of four flavours, (such a unique idea, borrowing from the beer and wine industry). I am traditionally all about chocolate, but the fresh raspberry flavour floored my tastebuds! Actually, to be honest, each flavour that I tried had my tastebuds thrilling. Such a cute shop designed with a nod to the heritage of the area. They even have free-use golf balls and putters to borrow for the wee golf putting park across the street. Sooooo... I'll be saving my ice cream cravings up and thinking about excuses to head to North Van to the Welcome Parlour. Just, yum!!

This ice cream is to die for. I could not recommend this establishment more. Will definitely go again and again.
