Genji sushi - North Vancouver

Located in Parkgate plaza, it is a rustic family business restaurant. Service was similar to Sushi California, need our server down for service. Your escape is also very convenient as COVID has happened. Everything is always fresh and at the point. Prices are...bit higher than Sushi California, but since they are one of three Japanese restaurants on this side of the city, I think it's justified. I like her sashimi salad, her sauce is a little sharp. Prawn tempura is also very crispy and delicate shrimp, even if we get it home. Rolls were also good portions, and nigiri sushi was on the point. Overall a nice option for this area of the city.

Eating here is convenient, it is a typical menu with all North American standard Japanese food offered in similar restaurants. I am always pleased that the value and the standard remain constant. Take out is the same good value without compromise.

Nice surprise. pampering interior in good condition, beautiful half private cabins along the sides. Start the tuna sashimi and a tuna reel, happy to see the portion size and presentation of both items. Tuna tasted good and was not watery, a good... confirmation for it. Tuna Roll well made, good compression and tuna was the same size/shape in any size. Price competitive at similar Quailty on the North Shore. So Saba and Ama Ebi nigiri sushi ordered, unfortunately not so good. Saba was dry and very salty, Ama ebi was small and watery. Tryed a piece of university, not so good, didn't taste fresh. Asked for Hamachi, but they were out. A Californian role tried and it was good. Many other roles on the menu. If you are looking for sushi reels and tuna sashimi on the North Shore and you are near Parkgate Mall worth visiting. If you are looking for a variety of nigiri sushi, you can look elsewhere.

Living in Southern Ontario I get used to everything you can eat sushi. However, I really enjoyed the options and size of the portions in Genji. For $90 we fed 4 people a decent meal, Sake, Dessert and a humble tip. All were filled. The food...taste fresh with a beautiful mix of flavors. I was a great fan of the exclusive feeling in the private rooms. Recommend to stop when you are a fan of sushi.

This little place located in the Parkgate mall is a wonderful oasis of calm and good food in an otherwise hectic and chaotic strip mall. The design of the restaurant with private enclosed booths, regular tables and sushi bar seats is relaxing and peaceful. The...food is tasty and very fresh. Loved the wild salmon and Tuna sashimi. Good prices all the time. Give it a try.
