Contribuiți la feedbackI wish I lived closer. I had the most delicious sourdough savoury pancake and the passion fruit kombucha was perfection. I would sign up for a cooking class in a second.
The owner lives on the premises of the restaurant and if you happen to go there when she is closed between 2-4 she'll practically bite your head off for coming inside though she omits to lock the entry door and has no signage saying the restaurant is closed.
I had been wanting to try this restaurant for some time, after hearing about its philosophy, being organic etc. and seeing the garden growing over the season. I have a vegetarian friend who prefers organics, so I thought it would be a great place to take her. Wow - so very disappointing to say the least. Very cold, boring atmosphere to start. We were the only ones there at the time, and we sat at a table for about 10 minutes before figuring out that it was self serve. There was no one to greet us, no menus and we were completely ignored by the 2 staff who were there. We finally saw the blackboard with an extremely limited menu of about 4 items and a small showcase of premade items. Nothing sounded or looked appealing. While we were looking at the showcase of items, a woman FINALLY approached us, did not smile or say a word, just stood there waiting for our order - with her baby busy feeding from her naked breast! I am all for breast feeding in public, but I have to draw the line here - it was just too much. If she had been the least bit warm, friendly and welcoming we might have overlooked that, but we simply didn't want to give the place our business based on everything else, so we left. No idea how this restaurant stays open!
The restaurant constantly offers alternating meals, the owner cooks everything fresh and directly in the kitchen. eating is enough of a delicious breakfast with pancakes, paleo breakfast, tortillas and french toast. above all the coffee is a real pleasure, you notice that the owner is a real expert in this area and she prepared with much love eating and drinks.
Choosing a name implies a radical choice that I understood from the menu in the middle between the vegetarian post-hippie and the traditional. I asked for advice because my son is allergic to certain foods and the owner was unconscious and hectic. in fact it has partially welcomed my demands with the result that my son could eat only half of his dish, then frankly nn you can serve a child a salad of ribs or raw herbs seasoned with a spicy sauce. the tables were dirty, the water in cheap and hot caraffe despite having ice, to be a self-service bar we spent a lot considering that we took only one plate to head. excellent coffee and my cakes (although intrigued with butter and very sweet in order to be able to define them ethical.) In short, it would be enough to smile and be a little more attentive to the customers, to clean the tables and to change the water to improve everything. sin!
