The Sportsman - North Tyneside

We went last night for the Valentine's dinner. The prawn and chorizo starter was very tasty. Also the filet steak cooked to perfection. To end off with a tiramisu desert. It's a great local pub. The meals we have had there in the past we cannot fault them.

We went to the Sportsman for dinner this evening. The food was excellent, service was good and value for money was amazing. Welll done. We will be back.

Can I just say back in the day the sportsman was a destination food place. Then for lots of reasons it wasn't. John and Aaron took over in Dec 23. The pub is amazing and the food once again a destination for foodies. Fabulous high quality pub food. Thank you. Tonight my three friends shared a 37oz tomahawk steak with mac and cheese, garlic King prawns, onion rings, mushrooms, oven roasted vine tomatoes with chunky chips. I can't tell you what they thought but there was nothing left. As for my haddock and chips.... superb. Thank you John and Aaron.

The Sportsman is now under new management The food was excellent ,freshly cooked to order I had the Haddock which was lovely ,but in fairness all our meals where lovely Will be going back ,hope they still serve Sunday Lunch

Went in on Saturday 23 Dec for a few drinks and food. Food was lovely. Place was lovely. Pleasant staff. Only thing spoiling our time there was the amount of dogs in, I counted about 6 in total. At one time they were all barking at each other, very noisy. We left early because of this, shame as we were enjoying ourselves.
