Piccante - North Tyneside

I have been using this takeout restaurant for more than 3 years on and off. I used to love the pizzas, they are similar to Papa John's but cheaper. However, in February I had a terrible experience. The pizzas were burnt and the wrong pizza was delivered. I complained, but was not offered a refund. I was told they would make it right next time. Five months later, I decided to give them another chance, but once again the pizzas were burnt, the dough was old, and the toppings were dry and crinkly. I gave them two chances, but the quality has significantly gone downhill. I recommend trying them out for yourself, but personally, I will not be returning.

Ordering is always easy. Delivery never to long pizzas amazing. Big smokey great usually we qualify for something free or half price. Staff always helpful even on the telephone.

The pizza dough made by this person is the best I've ever had - thin and delicious. However, the cheese used is not of good quality, it's too soft and wet. If they switched to better cheese, they would have the best pizzas in Whitley Bay without a doubt.

Sorry a poor review! But bought the chicken wrap! It was like eating an onion! If your an onion fan great! If not don't buy it! Way too much! Over powers what a chicken wrap should taste like : Sorry!

During our weekend in Whitley Bay, we decided to get a takeout. I ordered 2 pizzas with chips and received excellent service. They even informed me of a special offer that I wasn't aware of. The food was delicious, and the chips were authentic and not French fries, which I appreciated. I will definitely return to this place when we are in the area again. I was very impressed.
