It's a short and sweet visit. The viewing areas are interesting. Though I wondered how odd it would be to be the workers there, always watched by outside people randomly like a spectacle. Buy and try the sponge candy plain to get a real understanding of it. And then get some other chocolates also. Well worth the stop even if it is short.

Looking for something indoors to do with the kids on a cruddy-weather day like today? Platter's Chocolate Factory! It's got a big Chocolate Shop on one side and a big Ice Cream Shop on the other. The dining area even has a fireplace. And in the large foyer area you can look through the windows into the actual candy making areas.

Great place to chill in cold winter and have delicious fresh milky hot chocolate. Actually, if you are a ice cream lover, you can find best of them here. My first choice to relax.
