Ocean's Cafe - North Somerset

I visit oceans cafe regularly and I travel 35mins to do so. Staff always friendly. The cafe is a proper cafe and great value for money. I think I’ve probably tried everything on the menu over the past few years and I’m always happy with what is served. The roast is amazing, it’s restaurant quality, meats cooked perfectly, all fresh veg, spuds are proper mum spuds, the cauliflower cheese you can tell is home made and it’s to die for, I normally go for a big roast with some extras and the wife has a small one. The breakfast is quality! I’m a trades mans and I’ve been to a lot of cafes and I mean a lot but nothing compares to here. We often have a nice walk around the marina and pop back for coffee. I really cannot recommend oceans more.

We’ve tried breakfast practically everywhere that does it in Portishead and Oceans is consistently the best. There are other places with more fancy decor but they charge up to twice as much for breakfasts that aren’t so good. Large portions, we can only ever manage a “small” breakfast, Oceans also do all manner of other items for breakfast and lunch, but it is their English breakfast that we keep going back for.

Took the family based on the reviews. A little surprised of the location and the fact that it is a portakabin. Food was ok but not exactly exceptional. It was also expensive considering the environment/overheads. Our food was lukewarm and nothing special. Tea was not good at all. Certainly there are better cafe's out there and definitely cheaper!

The breakfast was fine,all freshly cooked and the meat was of good quality. my concern was covid health,tables close together,and worse still the condiments were being passed from table to table as there were not enough for all tables.also alot of moving about,as you go to counter to order/pay and the food is brought to you.

Option to add extras, hot and fresh all served with a friendly smile. Nice change from McDonalds and probably healthier
