There were long lines for almost everything they have onsite. Everything was also very overpriced compared to all the other farms we have been. The parking was $25 per car. For apple picking, small bag is $30 for a small bag and $45 for a big bag. Pizza was $16+ per small thin pie. Almost everything is cash only and they have an ATM on site, again with an extremely long line. It almost felt like a festival event with big crowds. We still had a good time though. The apples were delicious and we loved the hard cider. I heard the donut was also good (we didn’t get it because of the insane line).
I went with four teenage grandaughters. Got lucky, it was a gorgeous day. Scenic views. Didn 't do hayride, but they had fun with the corn maze they give them a sheet of clues before entering, so it makes it entertaining . There wasn 't too many apple variety to choose from, apples all looked the same and/or trees were not marked with the type of apples. Most reachable branches were already picked clean, so climbing was involved. There were so many apples rotting on the floor under the trees sometimes it made it hard to walk slippery dangerous . They could have raked some away every now then. Apples were delicious, girls had great fun picking them overall. Bought a few things at the market . Had lunch; some pizza, chicken fingers, french fries soda ' . We spent well over 300 5 people that was trying to be conservative for food, 2 Apple bags to fill bring your own bags , Corn maze market large variety of items . The apple cider donuts are very good, must try.. Fun time was had by all, but expect to spend some serious cash.
Awesome place to go pumpkin picking, the place is huge. They are known for apple picking even tho I go for the pumpkins and also their donuts and warm apple cider. They are so so good. A lot of fall activities, like hay rjde which is relaxing and you get to see the whole farm, they have a cool corn maze. Food is great, atmosphere is pretty cool, just be sure to get your tickets online so it’s easier to get in. Make sure to wear comfortable clothes and have a jacket handy it can get cold. Gonna keep coming every year ?
On the way back from Outhouse Orchards, I was pretty satisfied with a good enough apple picking experience for $100+ day: $25 entrance fee when did that become a thing? , $30 small back of apples from a la orchard w available apples for those who do or do not want to reach/walk far, $30 lunch for a family of five tummy chicken tenders and fresh pizza , $20 for two pony rides, and whatever other pumpkins, flowers or farm stand goodies you want… but my disappointment came from the apple cider donuts $14/dozen . Not that great… but the farm and port o potties were good enough ???? and they allow dogs so if Harvest Orchards is full and you haven’t reserved a ticket online, drive a little farther up the road and enjoy the Outhouse no reservations required!
Great time at outhouse orchards. We were between the two, this one and another down the road. We chose outhouse because they allowed outside food drink and most importantly doggos! If you’re looking for a place to have a Michelin star lunch then no it’s not for you. This spot had everything we needed. Entry is charged per car, so if you have a car of five people you’ll pay the $28 purchased online) whereas down the street you’ll pay $75 15/pp). The apple bags are 30 45 and even in the smaller bag you can fit a decent amount of apples. Sure you may be able to get a cheaper bag at BJ’s or Costco but that doesn’t come with the experience of getting the freshest apples can be, picking them yourself and supporting a local business. We brought our own food for lunch that’s a great option if you want to cut down on your spending. There was a tent where you could purchase hard cider small large bottles, cold for immediate consumption or room temperature to take home)The food options were chicken tenders with fries $13) and burger $7? I think) and fresh pizza. Also fresh popcorn and of course donuts.I found the apple cider donuts to be amazing and fresh 13 or 14 bucks a dozen). There’s a farmers market with tons of local products, preserves, salsas, pickles, nut and seed butters, you name it.We did not find there to be any shortage of apples. Some trees were not ripe yet but we were still able to get 4 different apple variations and they were all delicious. There was a little area for horse pony rides $10 each and then of course a pumpkin patch and there was a dog adoption event going on! So nice of them to support local rescues. Overall wonderful time. Some of these reviews seem very dramatic- not sure what people are expecting when they go apple picking lol.
