Contribuiți la feedbackMy wife and I, who are tourist in pei, have stopped for lunch and despite the opened caffes have been rejected service as they were more interested in serving a bus connection from cruise ship customers we were not impressed.
Larry at The Pines suggested this restaurant to us the first day we arrived in PEI. We dined there twice during our stay, taking dessert to go once and enjoying it another day. Unfortunately, when we tried to dine there on August 23rd before leaving the island, it was unexpectedly closed. The staff was wonderful, reminding us of our first visit. The fish dish was impeccable, like everything else we tried! The carrot cake was especially delicious. The atmosphere is casual and child-friendly. Don't miss the beautiful lookout and be sure to check out the ospreys next door.
We drove to the PEI National Park and drove to rustico on a recommendation of a fiend. we were a little hungry, but the lines in all other restaurants were long. So, we stopped at Captain’s cove for a lobster “burger”. a lobster roll on a brioche hamburgerrolle. the service was charming, the eating delicious and the intention on the oysters could not beat. definitiw a hidden gem (now for us).
We stayed between lunch and dinner and didn't want to pamper the dinner so that we share a fish and chips. that is very generous and the riders are hand-cut and we ask for them well done and they were – perfect! the colleague who came with the meal was exceptionally good and I bought another serve it was so good. our waitress was britney and she was super attentive and could almost read my understanding of what I wanted next. my waterglass was never empty and the part of the food service was unusually good. they are only open until 20 o'clock, so they will get there early before they close for a good meal. we eat this afternoon in the air conditioning that makes the meal even better. I spent only two hours on the beach and a nice break from the heat and a friendly waitress was a perfect combination.
Just drifting around and stumbled onto this place. Great location with equally great food and beer....and wine. Friendly chatty staff made for a nice experience
