The Cedar Room - North Platte

I ordered a steak, which was served cold, tough, and full of gristle. While I understand the restaurant was chilly, I've dined in many places that serve steak on heated metal platters, warning diners not to touch them due to the heat. Unfortunately, my steak was served on a composite tray that was also cold, which contributed to my steak being lukewarm. I had to persistently voice my concerns before getting the manager to come over and discuss the issue. He mentioned this was not a typical problem and attributed it to being busy that night, but if they knew it was Saturday, they should have staffed accordingly. Honestly, if I wanted a cold steak, I could have simply taken one from my refrigerator, microwaved it for 30 seconds, and it would have been just as unappetizing. The only positive aspect of the evening was our server, who was very sweet and did her best. The manager did offer to comp my meal, which I accepted, but this situation should not have reached that point in the first place.

I've never been here, but found this place through trip advisor. Everything was great, good cocktail, very good wine selection, and my steak was a perfect med. rare. No complaints at all.

Mixed experience. My wife 's 8 oz filet was great, but with one side, the tab was $50. My dinner was for a 14 oz ribeye. It came in two equal pieces, barely half an inch thick. No way it could be cooked at medium rare, it came to me nearly done. Lacked in flavor, clearly an inferior cut. Service and staff were excellent, nice wine list. Pleasant atmosphere, but the overall experience was meh .

This is a wonderful restaurant with friendly and responsive staff. The chicken fried steak and loaded potato were amazing. The bartender was was friendly and talented as she made a blueberry lemon drop cocktail. the salted caramel lava cake was over the top delicious. Food was sooo good I asked the chef to come out so I could praise and tip him. Sorry, I I didn't take pics of our food, but the presentation was very inviting. Highly recommend this establishment!

The venue was lovely, and the live music added to the experience. The staff were fantastic as well. However, I wasn't very satisfied with the steak. I ordered it medium rare, but the outside was burnt, which affected the overall flavor.
