The Nelson Head - North Norfolk

I had a great experience at this restaurant. The bartender was fantastic and let me try a sample of the cider before ordering. He was very knowledgeable. The food was delicious and the outdoor garden was beautiful. The service was excellent. I will definitely be returning again.

Located in the quaint town of Horsey, this hidden gem is conveniently close to the windpump and within walking distance of the beach. You can enjoy a leisurely stroll from the windpump, passing through a picturesque meadow with picnic tables. The staff are friendly and dogs are welcome, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The portions are generous, with a wide selection of dishes including fish and chips and vegetarian options. The vegetarian curry was so filling that I couldn't finish it. They kindly request that if you park there, you also visit the pub, which is a fair request. The landlord and his dog are also very friendly, adding to the charm of this lovely establishment.

I had a wonderful lunch in the sun after a short walk back from the beach. The restaurant has a spacious beer garden with ample seating, and is very dog-friendly. The portions of food were large and delicious - I would definitely return.

The kitchen must have been woefully understaffed. We waited 1 hour 35 minutes for a weekday lunch, which is just unacceptable.

Found this gem of a pub after a trip to Horsey Gap to see the seals. Arrived just after they opened for lunch. Very children and dog friendly . Fantastic choice on the menu, between us we chose, the ham egg and chips, hallumi burger, childs burger and nachos with chill. Served beautifully fresh and hot, the meals were huge! But we still managed to fit in a tasty dessert, sticky toffee pudding and chocolate brownies. They had a fabulous choice of ales and ciders. All in all a place that we will return to and will recommend to everyone
