Mary Jane's Fish - North Norfolk

Not great service, food was warm and not as hot as would like. Especially for eating in. Sticky chairs and one chair broke on a lady. They didn’t seem too bothered but grabbed another one. Hair in batter. I wouldn’t say it’s the best food I have had or service.

Mary Janes always served good food but not any more. Two of us had cod and chips,the third person had plaice. Both the fish and the chips were greasy and tasteless. My cod was full of bones. When I commented I was told ‘we don’t fillet the fish’. Well that’s ok then,pardon me for mentioning it. At £12.50 a pop this is not a cheap meal so you would expect decent food.

Wow!! The fish and chips here are amazing.. it's no surprise there's a line out the door! The service is quick, the portions are generous, and the haddock we ordered was delicious. We only did take-out on two occasions, but there is indoor seating available. Even though it was really busy, the staff were very helpful, friendly, and polite. If you are in the NHS or emergency services, show your ID or BlueLight card for a discount.. thank you for that, it is greatly appreciated and very kind!!

The food at this restaurant is of great quality and comes in large portions. I would highly recommend trying the skate dish, as it was delicious and the portion size was so big that I couldn't even see the chips. The staff is friendly and the location is good. I would definitely recommend dining here.

Vegetarians will be pleased with the options available at this restaurant. I enjoyed a delicious pie and chips, cooked in vegetable oil. The lunch was enjoyable and offered great value for money.
