Holt Fish - North Norfolk

My first visit to Holt Fish Bar and was disappointed.We had a wait of 45 minutes just to order our fish and chips.There seemed to be a lot of telephone orders which slowed the walk in ordering considerably.I just didn’t like the taste of the batter and chips.Simple as that.Had much better.

We stay in this part of the world most summers and a takeaway from here is one of the treats we look forward too. Very fresh fish, cooked to order and when they occasionally run out of something, that’s your lot. Always patient and happy...

Yet again, I had a lovely GF meal of battered Sausage and chips and my partner enjoyed his pie, you never fail to disappoint,Loving the new decor 10/10

Nice place and staff, really good chips curry sauce… but unfortunately the batter on the haddock was very undercooked soggy. Huge piece of fish so it’s a shame it wasn’t the best. Probably a one off looking at the other reviews.

This place was recommended to us by a local lady, so we decided to give it a try. Admittedly it was clearly a very busy evening for them, but we queued for 25 minutes hoping to eat in only to be told that we 'd have to wait another HOUR for gluten free food to be prepared. It doesn 't take much effort to put up a temporary notice saying an hour 's wait for gluten free this evening so that people don 't waste their time. We ended up going to Eric 's, which was equally busy but the staff made room for us and we had our meal within half an hour. (For what it 's worth, I really don 't like leaving negative reviews, but I 'm leaving this one in the hope that it will spur the owners to give a bit more consideration to us poor Gluten Free folk.
