I recently ate at Ruth Chris steak House and ordered the same cut and the Riverfront steakhouse ribeye was atleast it?s equal in flavor and tenderness.
It was good food but not as good as the first time but that was a long long time ago. The service was great once I asked to be waited on. All in all it was a great way to celebrate 28 years with my husband.
Always great service and food. We are happy that the salad bar is back!!!! Our 'go to ' Steakhouse..
Hostess was slightly rude and seemed fairly incompetent, as well as she did not make the effort to properly greet us however we were promptly seated. The salad bar while having a wide variety of options to make a salad, had tongs where the food stuck tothem and was a particular pain to operate. Our server Chip had a jocularity to him as well as a well met sense of humor andseemed to enjoy his position. Before the meal we enjoyed the delicious bread rolls, however, the taste reminded me of a cheapHawaiian roll youd buy for a trashy thanksgiving party, which leads me to believe that they slided those rolls into a muffin tinso we wouldn't notice. For dinner we had the Chefs Special $60 Dinner For Two. On the steak the crust tasted almost entirely ofpeppercorn but the inside was juicy, the side of mushrooms tasted like it was drenched in avacado oil, and the onion ring thatcame with the meal fell apart when i touched it and the vegetables felt mediocre, the shrimp was however well breaded which wasa delight and felt like a star that the steak should have been. The decor of the restaurant felt dated (straight out of the80s) the chairs hurt to sit down in after an hour or so of sitting the music matched the decor however it was lovely and thesinger was great. While not the most happening spot for a friday night meal it is an enjoyable sit down with a rollercoaster ofemotion for food.
It hurts to make this review but it needs to be made. I?ve been coming here to Riverfront Steakhouse for over a decade to enjoy what has been the tastiest, and highest quality steak in Arkansas that I?ve had. The service has also been second to none inthe past. Which leads me to my review of my dinner tonight with my wife for her birthday. If you?ve never eaten here or at ahigher end steakhouse before, stop reading. First off, we weren?t asked if we were celebrating any special occasions. Not ahuge deal but it?s customary. After being seated promptly, we met our waiter about 10 minutes later. They were not busy. Hewas very new here as he stated up front. He filled our drinks, took our order and brought us rolls. He checked on us 20-30minutes later before our food was brought out. Both of our drinks were empty for the majority of the time. Food arrives, wifegot governors cut filet (medium well)with loaded baked potato. Hers was cooked perfectly if she had ordered her medium but shedidn?t. She still ate it and loved it. I ordered surf and turf which consisted of governors cut(medium rare) and lobster tailwith a side of the Mac. Began to cut the steak and realized it was way undercooked. It was cooked between rare and blue. Notwhat I wanted and was a little upsetting. More so upsetting because there was nobody to tell that it wasn?t cooked right foranother 10-15 minutes. Once the waiter returned I expressed to him my disappointment in both of our steaks. Told him I was notpaying for this. He was respectful and understanding. He grabbed his manager to take a look. The manager came over withoutmaking eye contact, looking back and forth at our steaks and asked if there was a problem with them. I explained to him thatthis was severely undercooked and I did not want it. He offered to cook another one. I told him no I didn?t want one. He leftand never came back. He sat at the front in his chair like he had the whole night. This is
