First time at Taste Budz and all I can say is WOWWWW!!!! The gumbo ramen was absolute perfection! Staff was awesome and definitely takes pride in their restaurant and food. Thank you so much! My friend offered to buy dinner and I had been wanting to try this place so bad. He placed the order and was given a time of an hour to pick up... over 2hrs later, we FINALLY got our meals. He made a comment about the wait and got snapped at... that should've been the first sign, but red flags are apparently my jam. Neither of us loved anything about it... Luke warm food, the sauce on the mac cheese broke and was oily, the jerk chicken was meh, and the greens were not very good at all, and I didnt finish them ornthe macaroni. I judge all southern spots by their greens and mac cheese, so I won't try them again. He got the jerk alfredo, and the alfredo tasted like a low cost jar sauce. Super disappointed, as all the hype along with my love of Cajun food and southern cooking in general... it was a complete let down. I went on yelp and Google to read reviews and see that we aren't the only ones with a bad experience, and that ridiculously long wait times, and poor customer service with **** poor attitudes when you mention your disappointment in the wait times, etc... there's really NO excuse. Good thing we didn't ask for a refund, apparently they don't like to give them, even if they overcharge you. It's a shame... customer service is the heart of every successful business, and word of mouth spreads like wildfire. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I had been following this place online and was determined to try them out. My mouth was ready for some spectacular food, but I was let down. They did not live up to their hype. My mom loves ox tails so I got her that meal with black eyed pea and mac n cheese. The ox tails were very fatty. She couldn’t really enjoy them because she was discarding the fat while eating. You’ll see the pictures But she did say they had good flavor. I tried some but it didn’t make me want to become an ox tail eater. Black eyed peas are black eyed peas. Nothing to say about them. The mac n cheese was super average. If you know someone, or are someone that can make some decent tasting mac then thats all it was. It was absolutely nothing to write home about. I ordered the jerk shrimp and mac n cheese. The shrimp were nothing I cant do and Im no celebrity chef at all. They didn’t impress me. Again my mac n cheese was cooo. Kid approved, because my son polished the mac n cheese off for me. Definitely not a place to go out of your way to eat at, and not a place to have catered to your party.
