Mariscos Las Islitas - North Las Vegas

Okay, so know before you go. This is an authentic Mexican seafood place. They have real Mexican dishes. You're not going to find things you might see at Margaritaville or Senor Frogs. That said, it's excellent. We were seated right away. We had great service. I had the shrimp diablo, which is a dish I know and love. My wife had the fish tacos. Both were excellent. Highly recommend.

Some of the best Mexican food can be found at this chains restaurants through out Las Vegas and the service is always good. Our Favorite are empandas de camaron The reason for not giving them 5 stars is there chairs are uncomfortable and attrocias. I cannot fit my legs across the table. What I always forget to ask for a booth to avoid this.

Took forever to take our order. Ask for fried octopus and it was way over cooked and mostly heads. When the waiter came by to ask if everything was okay we told him that it was overcooked and his answer was then why did you eat it ? RUDE how are we supposed to know? We only took a few bites out of this thing this is how they served it to us. We had no intention of not paying, no customer service ????

The restaurant is very nicely decorated. The music is a little too loud which makes it difficult to hear the servers with the face mask on. Good music though. I know seafood is pricey but I feel like the portions were small for the price paid compared to other seafood restaurants.

I have been coming to Las Islitas for a few years now at other locations around town. I stopped in here today for dinner to try the Red Snapper Filet to see how it compares to the other locations. The dish did not disappoint. Same delicious Seasoning ????. The fish was more tender at this location. Im not sure if it was the fish or the chef. Either way my thanks goes out to the staff at the Craig location for another great dining experience.
