Onesti’s At The Rex

The food was terrible. I ordered a hamburger that was raw and not cooked properly. The large fish supper did not come with chips. It was a waste of time and money.

Love the fish suppers from here. Nowhere better in the Motherwell area.

We ordered food for four people for delivery at 5.55 pm. At 6.55 pm I telephoned to see what when we were likely to receive it. I was told they were waiting for a driver. It arrived 15 minutes later. Our address is literally 3 or 4 minutes away. The food was hot but dried up as it had clearly been kept warm for up to an hour. I had ordered a large single fish but 2 small fillets were delivered. I specifically wanted a large fillet as it would be more succulent but I got 2 dried up fillets. Completely unacceptable all round. We will not use them again.

Ordered takeaway start to finish experience was terrible. Ordered pizza deal, girl didn’t understand what I was ordering, couldn’t even take my address properly. Took 3 attempts. After confirming the pizza I wanted, again the girl didn’t understand even although it was a standard one from the menu. Despite being fluent in English I even used phonetic alphabet to confirm details. Asked her to confirm my order and she couldn’t, I had to correct the order. I was trying to order the Rex inferno with a tomato base (with free margherita) chips. Order arrived after 40 minutes minus the chips, which driver didn’t even notice. Driver said it would be straight round, we are a 2 minute drive from the shop. 20 minutes 2 cold pizza’s later no chips. Called the shop after 5 minutes of being told they were waiting for a driver coming back I asked for a refund for the cold pizza I had eaten/left chips. Individual over the telephone was not happy. They said they would collect the pizza. After a short time less than 10 minutes we had a driver to collect pizza (despite there being no driver available to deliver the chips), but as had eaten some of it as it was over an hour since it had been ordered 40+ minutes since it had arrived no refund was offered (except chips). Terrible experience start to finish shocking service. Had cold pizza for dinner ultimately waiting for chips that were never going to arrive they think this is acceptable. Simple honest solution would have been to deduct chips from order at point of delivery as couldn’t meet the order.
