Contribuiți la feedbackThe food was fabulous as were the desserts!!! Small restaurant and quite cozy. No complaints other than I thought the service was a bit slow with us having children there. We would have liked them to have their food asap but it took more than...More
We had them cater our party of 12. The prime rib, potatoes and veggies came perfectly done and the roast was scored so that it was easy to slice a thick slab for each guest. Everyone raved about the food.
This place was a real find. Four adults dined on their delicious carrot soup, fresh tasty salads , both included with our meals, I had one of the specials pan fried lake Perch with scallops and shrimps topped with a butter herb sauce, sweet carrots and excellent baked potato...others had the sole and Chicken and Veal Parmesan. Meals were $20-25. Service was excellent ..I would definitely return when in the area..apparently their baked goods are outstanding
We found this spot by happen chance and will definitely return to this little gem of a spot. We stopped in for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed our choice of chicken and beef pot pies. Both were served with a tasty soup and we chose the Caesar salad. I also had a slice of coconut cream pie which was a good portioned size and was very tasty. We also tried the pecan butter tarts; fabulous melt in your mouth pastry! No complaints here.
We had gone to uncle George before for a slice of pie. Unfortunately, a small sliver was served for a good price of 6.77 each. Our bill came to $20 for two servings of a tiny piece of pie and two regular coffees. Better value buying a whole pie for not more than $20.This time our friends who came to visit us at our cottage wanted to go to uncle George's which is 10 minute walking distance from our cottage. We mentioned that the place was very tiny. Yes to there surprise it was tiny and not welcomed by staff. We were the only ones there at 5 p.m.We ordered food.Fishermans platter greasy barely cooked fish, shrimp skewers with two small scallops. Not even a Handful of very thin sliced carrotsChicken Parmesan one small portion without pasta and again very small sliced carrots.Chicken souvlaki the rice was not fully cooked the chicken tasted like fish and not fully cooked. The meals came with a tiny tiny Cesar salad or garden salad very tiny two mouthfuls with two slices of cucumber and small portion of diced tomato no salad dressing. The bread was very stale. Soup cream of spinach or Apple and celery soup. They were both creamy. I am lactose intolerant and couldn't have neither. Normally a restaurant would have a creamy and not creamy. Again, we had desert we mentioned to our friends that it would be better to order a whole pie but we really didn't want a whole pie. We ordered the sliver of pie at a cost of 6.77 each. They were good but nothing to write home about. Our meals came to $50.00 each couple. Not worth the money. Staff were not professional. Our waitress wasn't attentive to us but would stop if someone opened the door and cut us short in our order and would speak to people that would open the door. We decided that we would not return at all. They have younger people cooking. The chef who cooked has retired and it not the same.Good luck save your money.
