Fishnchicken - North Hertfordshire

May 22 update: I am adding 2 stars to this review as recent experiences have shown improved portion sizes. The food was cooked well, as always. We have been coming to this restaurant for fish and chips for 8 years. There was a decline in quality, but it has improved again. Unfortunately, today it has declined once more. While the chicken and fish have always been excellent, the portion size of the chips is disappointing (see picture). It is sad to see as this is the cheapest part of the dish and should be a larger portion to entice customers back. Please address this issue, Fishnchichn!

I had fish cakes, chips, and onion rings. Everything was cooked perfectly, portion size was good, and the staff was friendly. I will definitely order from here again.

Always have issues getting Gluten Free stuff apparently the box below qualifies as large chips! All of 8 inches across and look like they’ve been out since lunchtime! (That box is 8 inches across!

Just had a large haddock and large chips tonight, as well as a battered sausage with small chips for my daughter. The small chips portion was much bigger than the large chips. As the chips were served in the box with the fish I know the order hadn’t been mixed up. Tried to ring to explain/complain but nobody answered. Won’t be going back.

No fish or chicken . For the 3rd time in a month I’ve tried to purchase fish or chicken and they have none. It’s half past 7 at night they close at 10 !!
