Maryland Fried Chicken Of Hartsville The Shrimper

The first thing that I noticed upon entering was a horrible smell...absolutely nauseating. Unfortunately, my husband was determined to buy chicken from here. I guess he was tired after the long drive.The cashier was rude. She greeted us with Is this carry out or dine in . No hello, no how can I help you.The main issue was the amount of large flies circling around. I have never seen so many big flies inside a restaurant. Maybe the plumbing was backed up, maybe the dining room needed a deep cleaning; maybe the employees should keep the door closed when taking a break...definitely would not recommend.

Butterfly shrimp is lightly battered and delicious. Hush puppies were good. Fries seemed undercooked.

I had no clue this place had hamburger steaks and it was one of the best hamburger steaks I have ever had even at more fancy style restaurants they had the best and it was big!

Not a great experience. The only good thing was the wings.

I was pleasantly surprised. Really good food. Was looking for something fast, inexpensive and good and this place was all that. While visiting Hartsville we were looking for an afternoon snack and happened on this place. The fryed chicken was awesome and so were the hush puppies and Mac and cheese. Wife had the fryed flounder. She loved it. Next time we're in Hartsville I know exactly where to go.
