Went on 23nov for the festive 3 course Christmas meal the food and staff was amazing nothing was to much trouble for staff very relaxing and great atmosphere we go most Thursdays for food and a few drink great place to eat and drink and so relaxing 5 star

Visited again for a lovely evening meal on a Sunday. It was busy but we had pre-booked. I had garlic mushrooms to start then the mac and cheese and it was all delicious. Service was great at usual. Good varied menu and decent prices. We will be back soon!

I took my elderly father here for Sunday lunch I have to say it was an all round excellent afternoon experience. The staff were superb, the food very good indeed (Trio of Roasts Sunday dinner), and the setting ambience of the pub/restaurant is lovely. My Dad has slight mobility issues, so they allocated us a lovely table in the restaurant with plenty of leg room space.....even though the restaurant was very busy indeed. Hats off thanks here to Management Staff alike we will 100% return.

We eat at The Phoenix regularly and we think it is generally good food and also a lovely outdoor dog friendly space. I would recommend to people. However on our most recent visit we were shocked by how rude one member of staff was (middle aged female, brown short hair possibly manager) . As we arrived at the pub at the desk where you go when you have booked a table there was no hello or greeting of any kind and just got “have you got a booking” in a manner that seemed like we were inconveniencing her. I say hi to everyone in any job I’m ever doing so very strange in customer facing role like that. The other two interactions were her dumping our drinks on the table without saying a word and then coming over and asking about a car in the car park again no sorry to interrupt or excuse me just have you got a red car ? So strange it was like customers were a huge inconvenience and there were no pleasantries at all. It’s a shame as the other waiting staff were lovely so looks like the manager is letting the team down .
