Akhtars - North East Derbyshire

Went here for the first time last night (despite living in killamarsh) for my sisters birthday. The staff were polite and friendly from the minute we walked in the door- nothing was too much trouble. The service was great, the food was lovely and we all had a great time. The only thing I would recommend is an actual children's menu or smaller/cheaper portions for children as I ordered chicken nuggets for my 4 year old and it was a huge plateful of food with about 10 nuggets which we were charged £8.95 for and she didn't eat even half of it. Other than that, a super night out and we will be back!

We are very lucky to have such a good Indian restaurant on our doorstep. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone, the staff are wonderful and friendly and the food is as good as anything I've eaten anywhere.

First time visiting, highly recommend. The staff were great, very friendly and made you feel welcomed. The portions were amazing, well worth the money. Had to bring some home with us and they gave us extra rice and a free onion bahji. All left with full and happy tummies. Couldn't recommend enough, we will be returning! Didn't feel rushed and it was nice and relaxing. Thank you

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious and all of the staff were very professional and friendly.

Decent food and price but wouldn't deliver food 2.9 miles away.
