Orchard Park - North Dorset

On November 11th, 2023, my adult daughter and I visited Orchard Park restaurant in Gillingham, Dorset. She ordered the bacon, Brie, and cranberry panini, while I ordered the red onion, beetroot, and dill homemade quiche priced at £7.95. The panini with a side salad was alright but seemed expensive at £8.95. However, the quiche was awful. After two bites, I couldn't eat any more as it was dry and tasteless. The watercress that came with it was limp and unappetizing. When we informed the manageress, she mentioned that she would have replaced it if we had told her earlier. However, she was busy and took some time to get her attention. Additionally, the fact that the quiche didn't seem to contain eggs, cream, or milk made it misleading to call it a quiche. Ultimately, we asked for a refund as it wasn't offered and ended up sharing the panini before leaving the restaurant.

This restaurant is fantastic. The food is delicious, the coffee is amazing, and their homemade scones are to die for. We absolutely adore this place!

The service at this restaurant was awful. It was a mix of waitstaff and self-service, leaving us confused about what we were supposed to do. We had to get our own water and cutlery, and when we asked for condiments, we were told we would get them after our food arrived. The glasses and cutlery were old and dirty, with marks from the dishwasher. Our food was dumped on the table, and we had to ask for condiments ourselves. No one checked if our food was okay, and the "crispy" bacon was barely cooked. We had to find someone to get us another drink, and no one came to take our dessert order even though we had asked for the menu to be left. I've had better food at a truck stop for a fraction of the price. We ended up getting great desserts from Aldi on the way home.

Service and coffee very good but what a shame about the food very disappointing I think a sanswhich from the supermarket would of been nicer!

Very slow service, none of the vegan options were available. Poor value salad, basically a dish of lettuce with 5 pieces of Feta and chopped walnuts for £11-95. No where near as good as it was on the previous visit. Could definitely do better.
