Barts Deli -general Store

I enjoyed a delicious hot tomato mozzarella sandwich that I shared with my husband, accompanied by a bag of chips. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that they have homemade chips, which I plan to try next time. It's wonderful to have a few vegetarian options available, and the general store has a lovely atmosphere that makes it a must-visit for our future trips to Bartlett and Conway in New Hampshire.

This restaurant feels like a tourist trap, located right by Crawford Notch. When I approached the counter, the lady at the register was very rude, even telling me not to place my items on the counter. Based on the way my family was treated, we have no intention of returning. You would expect some appreciation while spending money on food and beer, but it felt quite the opposite. I spoke to a local about my experience, and they confirmed that this is typical behavior there, which is why they choose not to visit.
