Macho Pichu Chicken - North Charleston

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem! The chicken is exceptional, and the side dishes are just as impressive. I highly recommend everyone visit this spot. It’s convenient for takeout, but they also have a spacious dining area.

Paco, the owner, is fantastic and truly passionate about his delicious Peruvian chicken. Harmony is also an excellent bartender. Overall, the atmosphere is wonderful!

I shared a meal here after work, and it was a fantastic decision. You all should definitely give this place a try!

This restaurant offers some of the best food in Charleston, especially considering the price. The people at Paco Tony create a warm, family-like dining atmosphere. I make it a ritual to eat here every Friday. It's definitely superior to Halls!

I expected to enjoy authentic Peruvian cuisine similar to what I'm used to in the metro Washington DC area. Unfortunately, the chicken was not marinated and, while it was roasted, the skin wasn’t crispy. Both the chicken and the red beans had a smoky flavor reminiscent of traditional Southern cooking rather than Peruvian. The salad and plantains were decent, but they don’t serve yucca. The green sauce wasn't spicy at all; it had more of a vinegar taste. Overall, I won’t be coming back. There’s a traditional Peruvian restaurant on Dorchester Rd, or you could try Viva, which is much better. They focus on just roasted chicken.
