Nothing like Mongers in Austin. Top quality fish, amazing care with cooking.

I left so stuffed and satisfied. I probably gained 3lbs as they had the most delicious desserts (key lime pie!!!, chocolate torte, and a blackberry compote with vanilla cake). Plus their oysters were so flavorful, fresh and just scrumptious. Highly recommend their lobster bisque. In addition to the food, their staff was so knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and customer care oriented.

I must admit that we're pretty partial to Monger's. But as an educated diner, there is no better location for fresh seafood in the Austin area. Other than Este, of course. Different styles, but both are phenomenal!

We had a really bad time at Mongers and we're not planning to go back. There is a waitress, She was all snooty, explaining the menu like she was looking down on us. Totally felt judged. And get this, she didn't write down our order, then forgot one of our dishes. When we pointed it out, she blamed us instead of admitting she didn't jot it down. Oh, and when we asked for the check, she actually shushed us. Can you believe that? So we only tipped 10% because of the lousy service, but these guys went ahead and took 20% for the tip without any permission
