Ancora Italian Kitchen - North Bridgton

Decided to give this place another chance, Came in for some pizza drinks but once again the pizza is both burnt on the bottom undercooked the rest of the way through. It was sloppy but we were starving so we ate 3/4 of it (this is the 3rd pizza burnt on the bottom undercooked the rest of the way that we have been served here) The waitress was terrible- never brought more water. Never checked on us. Brought me skunked champagne and when I sent it back letting her know it was expired- she said “oh I thought so, I usually taste before I serve it”…. But she didn’t this one time?! No. General rule of thumb when serving champagne, you finish the bottle THE SAME DAY YOU OPEN IT. You never cork it and sell it a second day. Gross. UNACCEPTABLE. You served it anyway?! Also, this waitress was a close talker, I backed myself up against the wall to create space, she stepped in closer. My husband and I were beside ourselves. She did this every time she came to the table. It was a weird interaction, we will not go back.

Oh goodness what incredible food in our own backyard!!! My husband wanted to take myself and our daughters here and what a wonderful surprise it was! They made an amazing pepperoni pizza for my picky 8 year old who said it was the best pizza ever! as she ate more than half a pizza by herself. My picky teenager got the hanger steak which she said was delicious. My husband and I had the fried calamari and the classic chicken parm which was amazing!! The service was absolutely perfect, they made sure we had everything we needed the entire visit. We took home some canolli 's and the chocolate bread pudding too. We can 't wait to visit again!!

We wanted to try a new restaurant for Valentines Day this year and were able to get reservations for two at Anchora. We sat in the dining room and had Amy as our server. Very sweet and genuine young lady. She knew the menu very well and had excellent recommendations. The atmosphere is very relaxing and has a good vibe.We recently returned for a second trip on a whim and were very happy to get some last minute seats at the bar. My fiancé had the chicken tagliatelle and I had the bolognese on both of our visits. The goal was to try something new the second time around but those dishes were just so good ?Would highly recommend, my only complaint is that neither time we saved room for dessert

Love it here but our table placement tonight was very awkward and made it uncomfortable. For some reason it was positioned oddly on the floor (the only little table sticking out into open space like a sore thumb). Definitely felt awkward and hard to enjoy the moment.

The food was very expensive and frankly not worth it. I ordered homemade gnocchi which was tasteless and not at all pasta like . The service was great but will not be back ever too bad when it was Vivo prior owners it was fabulous.
