Montana's BBQ & Bar - North Bay

I had to wait several minutes for a table and was then told it would be even longer for a drink and appetizer order. The spinach dip was not served hot and the large order of ribs was only lukewarm. The server was not very polite and seemed more interested in making jokes than providing good service. There was too much time between visits to our table and the server never came to check on our first few bites. At the end of the meal, we had to wait a long time for the bill and debit machine, which the server placed on the table and then walked away. There was no further contact from the server after the meal. This will be my last time dining at this restaurant.

I went to Montana's restaurant in North Bay for lunch yesterday. When I arrived, the dining room only had one table of people on the same side we were seated on. Despite this, after ordering our lunch, we waited for an hour for our food. I can understand if it was busy when we arrived, but it wasn't. There is no excuse for two lunch meals to take an hour to be prepared and served. The staff were very friendly, but I am unsure if I will return again.

It was getting rather late and we were tired from a day at the hospital. My initial impression of service was negative as we were left standing to be seated for longer than I would expect. I asked the waitress to assure us that the...meal would not be slow in coming. She said it would not and was right. My husband had a hamburger with a salad and enjoyed the burger but found the lettuce in the salad to be a bit tired. I had a chicken dish that came with mashed potatoes, fresh veggies and cornbread. It was piping hot and very tasty. When we left the restaurant I discovered I left my glass case behind and the next day the staff took significant effort to locate it and contacted before we left North Bay. I appreciate their efforts. My opinion on the service reversed to a positive one.

Typical American kitchen. Big portions. The restaurant has the style of a nice pub. Kind waitresses.

My wife and I with another couple went there on a Thursday. Busy, but the service was good. Prices in line. We would go again.
