They should consider hiring food runners and having servers conduct quality control checks on the dining tables, rather than just standing around. The robots they use are unreliable and slow, and should only be used to assist the servers, not serve as the main server. The food often arrives cold or doesn't arrive at all. The staff rarely checks on customers; I had to ask multiple times for my curry chicken rice, which finally arrived an hour and a half later. The miso soup was bland and the sushi was disappointing - my California roll didn't even have fish eggs on it. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, the owner ignored the situation. Many menu items were missing, such as the Eel roll and spider roll. Despite being a long-time fan of this sushi place, I won't be returning. Even the ice cream took 20 minutes to be served, and when we ordered 3 flavors, they only gave us two in a bowl with two spoons for three people. Overall, the restaurant specializes in fried food and serves mediocrity on paper plates. We spent $120 for 3 adults, only having water to drink. It was a really disappointing experience.
My mom and I went out to eat and everything started off well until we ordered the crab salad. Unfortunately, my mom found a piece of plastic in her salad. When we informed the staff, they did not offer an apology, just asked if we wanted a new one. The service became incredibly slow after this incident. Additionally, when I asked for more water at the end of my meal, it never arrived. When we went to pay the bill, we were disappointed to find that nothing had been done to compensate for the plastic in my mom's food. We were extremely disappointed and will not be returning to this restaurant.
I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. When I arrived, I had to find a waitress myself to get a table as no one greeted me. The chopsticks I was given were broken with splinters sticking out. The service was okay thanks to the robot, but my server did not seem happy. The gyoza was decent, likely pre-made, but the rolls were not good. The edamame was overly salted, and the sushi was just okay. When I finished my meal, I had to search for someone to pay. I had high hopes based on reviews, but left feeling very dissatisfied.
Such a fun experience. Trying everything is the name of the game. The cucumber roll was super fresh and a little crunchy. The meats were cooked well and had a great flavor. The staff are friendly and hard working, not to mention the robo waiter, it works hardest of all. Bring the kids, bring a friend, you won't be disappointed.
It doesn't look that nice on the inside, and things seem to follow the same routine, closed off bottom section and higher prices. However, with the cute robots and depending on the day amazing food. It's not a bad place for sushi in a city like North Bay. Overall, I've had a couple poor experiences, on the whole though, I've been happy with the food. Especially when the beef sashimi is cooked perfectly.
