However, when she read the ingredients back, they still managed to get my salad wrong. It had the wrong type of chicken, and the salad was topped with so much cheese that I couldn’t check the contents without making a mess. I ended up waiting over 15 minutes just for a single piece of unseasoned, barely fried chicken cutlet. They did offer me a free muffin, but when I got home, my order was still incorrect. I called to speak to the owner, whom I assume was male, and he seemed to dance around the issue. He claimed they don’t customize salads, despite it being stated on the menu. I explained we only wanted the missing ingredient and offered to pick it up. He also mentioned that I never told them about my allergy to blueberries. I pressed him on why they didn’t clean the blender or ask customers about allergies in the first place. Things took a turn when I received a call from the young woman who took my original order, and she claimed, “We never ordered that,” even though she had read the entire order back to me at the restaurant. She seemed nervous and stuttered when I pressed her on it, which only added to my frustration. I eventually decided to hang up rather than continue the conversation. While I was waiting, a young man came in to complain about being put on hold for over 15 minutes, and her only response was, “Oh, I do?” I understand that customer service can be challenging, but when you’re charging over $40 for a salad and two smoothies—and I even tipped—I expected much better service and an effort to resolve the situation. A discount or some form of compensation for the numerous mistakes would have been appreciated. My sister had recommended this place based on her previous experience, but now, as a group, we’ve decided we’ll never return. Reading through other reviews, I see we’re not alone in our dissatisfaction, especially with the owner’s unprofessional responses. I hope he matures as a business owner. In a final twist, he called me back, but when I answered, I couldn’t hear anything. When I called back to ask if he had attempted to reach me, he simply responded, “No,” and hung up. The service is outstanding, the prices are excellent, and the ambiance is beautiful, clean, and peaceful. The menu offers a wide variety of options, all made with high-quality ingredients. Deliveries are quick, and it's clear that quality is not an afterthought here. This restaurant is a traditional gem on our island.
