OK, so why did I not know that this place has been in existence for 9 years (or so)? Open up Yelp, check the reviews and away we go.

YUM!!! This was my first time trying "The Grill on San Mateo" and I was glad that I did.

I have to say, without a doubt, this is the best, homiest, fantastic steak grillin', super wall art and memorabilia havin', not to mention friendliest

Very good fried chicken. Very good value for cost. Clean, many choices, wedges, etc. I would definitely go back for a quick on the go dinner.

Their chickens are crunchy but softy!! I go to North battleford just for the chicken from Saskatoon!

We were all very surprised how good the take out fried chicken is from here! Nice big pieces of juicy fried chicken, not greasy, and the potato wedges were huge...

Went in specially for chicken said I had to wait 15 minutes. So I waited it was more like 30 minutes. the chicken was nice and fresh.

Sometimes they don’t cook their chicken and veggies even if its 2-3 hours before they close their store. My advice: Don’t waste your time and don’t hope for luc...

The wedges were better than other places in the city. The chicken was average. I wouldn't travel across town to eat here but it was decent.
