A wonderful array of sandwiches served on a variety of fresh breads with super local quality ingredients. Particular favourites were the ham and mustard and cheese and onion marmalade. All served by a super friendly and welding couple. A must visit
£2.75 for the smallest flat white £7.00 for the cheapest sandwich. I know prices have increased but this must be the most expensive carry-out sandwich and coffee in Scotland never mind Arran.
Cute little sandwich bar opposite the Claonaug ferry in Lochanza. Huge, genrously filled hot smoked Skipness salmon. Sublime smoky and most fish an addition of cream cheese and pickled cucumber makes the sandwich. Of course, there is more of the island star Bakehouse bread. Delicious really is an understatement. Big enough for 2, worth every penny. Other tasty sandwiches are also available. Lovely lady owner who likes a natter
Called into the Sandwich Station three times during our 5 day stay on Arran! Could have tried everything off the menu, all served on proper bread. The warm pork shoulder and slightly warmed ham ones ended up being our “go to” choices. Each with tasty mayonnaise and dressings absolutely delicious all round. As some have said not the cheapest but to be honest when the food is of this high standard, it’s worth it.
Stopped here for a coffee and sandwich while waiting for the ferry, expecting the usual toastie sandwich. Totally blown away by the spiced pork focaccia absolutely delicious. The flat white coffee also lovely. Price was totally reasonable. Will find an excuse to get back to Lochranza to have another sandwich!
