Contribuiți la feedbackThought we’d check out Lucky Lupitas after reading that it was a go to institution in Adelaide. Sadly, it was one of the most disappointing and below average meals I’ve had in a very long time. My rice bowl was so spicy I could only eat a few mouthfuls. The nachos we ordered for starters was a plate with about 12 corn chips, on top of about 3 tablespoons of bland guacamole. Although the staff tried to be helpful, the service was haphazard; the waitress dropped 1/2 a meal on the table and proceeded to clean it up with a dirty looking cloth into her hand! Was genuinely scared we’d have a case of Montezuma’s revenge that night Was overpriced for the substandard, inauthentic “Mexican” food that was served up. Think you’d get better quality at GyG or Zambrero down the road!
We had our son’s 21st birthday here! The food, the service and the personalised care were all fantastic! We are so pleased we chose Lucky Lupitas for our function! Nachos are amazing! Everyone loved the wings and no-one left hungry! There was something for everyone! Thank you Raghu and team! Kathy x
Great Mexican restaurant on O’Connell St North Adelaide. There is a variety of options for vegetarians vegans. The cauliflower haloumi tacos were delicious.
The service and food were great. There were 5 of us including a vegetarian. The menu accommodated all and we had a great evening
Incompetence at its finest I have never seen such a multitude of stuff ups in my life. From the arrival to the departure, they never failed to disappoint. We booked a table for 5 and they tried to force us onto a tiny table. I ordered a tap beer. Some unknown brand. It was totally flat and actually stale. Yes, STALE. And the staff just said, “that’s how it’s supposed to be”. I observed through our stay that no one orders their tap beer. Totally over priced at $7 when you can order real beer for $8 a stubbie and more volume. We ordered food and it arrived in a slow trickle, one at a time, 5-10 mins between each guest. I ordered a Burrito. I got a Chile Corn Carne. Yes a Corn Carne. That should have been another guests meal. They can’t even spell the Mexican food they specialise in. Another guest got my Burrito but it was a bowl of shredded meat and not in a Tortilla. Another had the Nachos but had to pay extra for guacamole. Are you kidding. What would the Mexicans say about that! The staff seem to mean well but are the absolute epitome of totally incompetent. The table next to us of 8 all had been given the wrong orders. They spent 5 minutes laughing and swapping food around. Our table piled up with spent bottles and glasses but even when food arrived, no one had a thought to clear anything. The Chile I didn’t want was so spicy it was hard to put down. I tasted the enchilada I should have had. It was not too bad. Then came the bill. Of course the declined and returned stale and flat beer was still on the bill. Had to argue that one! The mojito was $18. Our guest had to specify that it was not a non-alcoholic one. A past experience at this place proved that this was necessary. Otherwise they presume the NA version. Same price. Pretty sure these were NA. Anyway. Allegedly new owners here. One would presume that the level of quality would improve. Not a chance. It would be funny if we were not paying stupid prices for basic food. It is criminal how this place, in swanky North Adelaide can produce such totally poor service. Wake up Australia. Start watching Guy Fieri on Diners Drive Ins And Dives and see how they do quality food in US. Never going back and I’ll spread this story everywhere as they need a huge wake up call and Australians should stop accepting such total garbage food for stupid money. We really are the laughing stock of culinary delivery over the entire world. No pride, max profit.
