Some really good coffee and I mean REALLY good coffee, it's perfectly situated in James PlaceI don't think I can do it enough justice.
Large flat white tasted like it had no coffee in it very very week like a cup of hot milk #disappointed place was cute and I was hanging for a caffeine fix.
The Japanese Hibachi restaurant on Melbourne St wasn't open so we decided on Cafe 99. At first glance it didn't look too appealing. Decor was in need of a serious upgrade, and the table we sat at, hadn't been cleared. HOWEVER, we both ordered the seafood laksa and were not disappointed. Prawns, calamari, tofu, and surprisingly carrot, baby corn and broccoli, bean shoots and noodles of course. We asked for mild,........ and it was spot on :-D. Wasn't overpowering, nor was it a gigantic bowlful. The price, who cares, it was worth it, as the dish was absolutely delicious (medium range price). This was a late lunch, and we didn't expect to get served by the cook. If you are up that way, it is definitely worth the trip.
Have been here a couple of times and they are really friendly and the food is nice. Price is also good. Will definitely go again.
