If you want to avoid the crowds, I recommend visiting during the day for nice food and drinks. However, if you're in the mood to dance, head there on a weekend night!
Be sure to ask for Shani! She's an amazing mixologist and provides excellent customer service.
It was my first experience with Ethiopian cuisine, and I went with a group of six. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals! We started with the fried pickles as an appetizer, which were fantastic. The bartender/waitress was friendly and attentive. I would definitely come back. It's a hidden gem!
Before discovering Almaz Cafe, I had to travel into the city for Ethiopian food, but that's no longer necessary! Everything I've tried here has been absolutely delicious, and the owners are incredibly friendly. While there are some non-Ethiopian options available, I highly recommend sticking to the Ethiopian dishes. The restaurant's location isn’t the most appealing, and the music can be quite loud (though I believe they would be happy to adjust it if asked politely). Overall, I will definitely be returning.
I absolutely love this place! The bartenders are friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the drink prices are reasonable. The food is fantastic as well. I make it a point to visit whenever I can!
