The coffee was also highly recommended. The staff was lovely, the prices were good, and we appreciated the retro decor. We will definitely be returning in the future.
Just dropped in for a light lunch, and had a lovely experience to boot. Four of us thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and the quirky décor of private booths, and old style laminex tables and vinyl chairs all around the restaurant. The old scooter and memorabilia on display brought back many memories of years gone by. Staff were lovely. Food was great and not expensive at all. Just right for a fabulous day out with friends. Pity we don't live closer, as we would love to come back again and again.
We came for Brunch on Christmas Eve on our way to the Markets. It was beautiful. THe kids loved their Pancakes, the coffee was great, and the Service was lovely. They have gluten free options and were happy to go and get more bread even though they had run out. :
Went for a Sunday drive and we found Cafe 59. Good value, friendly staff, very tasty The large fresh apple juice was fantastic. We all enjoyed our brunch I had fruit toast and coffee and i was very happy. My wife loved the retro feel and decore. Happy to go back anytime
Local café in Whittlesea. It's retro themed and feels like having breakfast at grandmas in the 80's. It was very busy on a Thursday morning- lots of older patrons having coffee with friends. Breakfast menu was pretty standard- all the usual egg dishes... between $12-18 for most dishes. Food was tasty and an Ok size. Drinks were overpriced but there was free water available. Staff were friendly and it had a very homely casual feel.
