Milchbar Norderney

Great for sundowner and to finish off a day at the beach. Unfortunately not so great for food and snacks. Best spot is behind the window at the front !

School trip with >800 people and about 20-25 children in different groups wanted to drink/eat (spend money . Children had to leave after the staff told them bigger (school groups were not allowed due to volume and other issues. Kids next to pupils were even louder,...but they were allowed to stay. Anyways, instead of an friendly explanation of possible problems, the staff communicated in a very rude and unfriendly way (the staff did not even say “hallo” . Started with the complaining right away! I do not know how this could have happen, but I always really liked to spend my time at “milchbar”, until today! I am personally very disappointed!

We came a few times to this bar, café and restaurant right on the beach promenade of Norderney. Good breakfast and excellent coffees made our stay enjoyable. Unfortunately the two different wines which we ordered during an afternoon visit were far too warm so we...had to order ice to cool it down. Is this a helpful review? Great location with extremely casual atmosphere. Especially recommended for a stay with a wide selection of drinks. I feel the prices of the site as reasonable, but not favorable. The food is something in between, but this is not the case in the milk bar (at least not me). The staff, especially in the evening at the cocktail bar, is very nice and professional! Otherwise, because of self-service, one has little to do with egoism, so I find the criticism of the staff superposed! Due to the constantly high utilization, mM is done a very good work. The many arrogance proposals are relatively exaggerated. After my feeling, so big lazy dives are always removed and everything is kept neat. The groups do not take care of the big cheering towers, I find pleasant, there are certainly better places than a Sundowner bar with limited capacity. If the weather is allowed and the terrace is open, or you can sit outside, this is also no problem. Otherwise, the store would be complete with 3 groups of 10 people. Only the restriction to pay cash is upset in the 21 . century a little....

If I want to celebrate with a group, I wouldn't even go to the dairy bar. A beautiful location to enjoy the view and the atmosphere in peace! High price? Yeah, but it's worth it! Unfriendly staff?.... I haven't experienced anything! Always full? ...sometime yes, but that speaks for me for the quality of the milkable! I'm a fan!
