The Red Herring - Noordhoek

Absolutely love that you have plenty of vegan options. For myself and @bilalstodel its become a favourite date night spot. We had a veg pizza and switched out the mozerella for vegan cheese. The vegan ice-cream on the waffle was amazing .

Such a lovely little spot, we sat up at the top deck which shows off the scenjc views of the Peninsula. The ambience is really great and the staff is very friendly, the food is just ok, nothing to ride home about but its the perfect spot for a lazy quiet afternoon

Amazing early evening at The Red Herring last night, we had a seat in the corner on the upper deck, so a place you might get forgotten but our waiter (Griffin I believe his name was) couldn't have done a better job of checking in on us. We got samples of any of their many beers/ales/ciders on tap so we had the perfect drink and then the pizza... after reading some of the reviews here I was worried but it was AMAZING. Perfect amount of everything. Congrats to the kitchen staff!! My partner says this is the most amount of pizza he has ever had on a pizza.. very good sign. And the base! YUM! We will definitely be back for more!

Tried the crazy fig pizza and it was something different. The tomato base came out a bit strong and the wall nuts and blue cheese was a bit on the lean side. But the waiters friendliness and great view with atmosphere made up for it.

Their crispy calamari is perfect, with a delectable tartare sauce. The baked camembert balls are superb too, although the dip seems to be mostly chutney. The staff are friendly and it resonants with the crowd. A fun jungle gym for the children. Ample vegan options, including a 'mozzarella ' and tomato pizza! (the owners daughters are vegan! . The cocktails are good, although the Daiquiri wasn 't frozen but more of an 'on the rocks ' style. Good for a sports bar too with its TV around the upstairs bar, and lovely view!
