I've never seen such a Jewel Indian cuisine at such an unexpected place. eating was amazing and the staff helpful and knew their menus well. the chef was especially friendly and knew exactly how to make the best of the ingredients. would they have strongly recommended!
A warm welcome was appreciated to this modern chic Indian food. at the beginning, each table is served with tamarinde and mint cutney with fresh papadum. we ordered both salat options (each has a backbone of the gurke,) a vegetarian tandoori plate and butter huhn. our whole food was fresh and the largest part delicious. both salates could use more salt/peffer/season (the table is free from all such accents). $50 usd for all this, including a large bottle of still water and the tip is not bad.
Top brands for superb contemporary Indian food and service, usually only found in the top restaurants in the world, but at a cheaper level. My wife and I enjoyed a dinner here in October 2017, while I attended the high season of a friend in France. we chose both the vegetarian thiali, who enjoyed the spectrum of curries, hearty and sweet growers. although in the rule not a highlight, the ritha was an outstanding accompaniment with a wonderful light zing to it. I think the restaurant had only opened a few months before our visit. it belongs to herrn aniljeet singh, who also owns the five stars leeu over the hugeuenot road. although the external architecture is modest, the interior design is warm and welcoming with a comfortable connection to the outside. we were very pleased to meet the chef vanie padayachee, who is an excellent talent and we are sure that we will be destined for much success. bravo aniljeet and vanie.
Brilliant curry and good service (the wee was also excellent! we had not finished our first course before my wife began to book again next week, so good is this place! the food was great, smaller in portions than usual, but fine for us, and the lamb was a little over boiled, but still beautiful. the sauces, although we are some of the best we tasted. the photo is of a non vegetarian and vegetarian thiali.
The restaurant is beautiful and food was delicious! A good choice of wines too (as expected for the area). Definitely recommend for an authentic (northern) Indian food.
