La Tavernella - Nonio

We were blessed in that we stumbled across this restaurant whilst visiting Lago d’Orta. Had the most incredible lunch ..... the risotto del Mia Ville was exquisite as was the fish fresh from the lake. Service incredibly good too. Well worth a visit .... you never know you may share your dining experience with a wedding party as we did!

The location of this restaurant is lovely overlooking Lake Orta. When we arrived, we were given a glass of proseco which was a nice touch. The service was also very good; however, the quality of the food was very average. I ordered the grilled shrimp (18 euro) and was surprised that they only served four shrimp. For the price, it was ver disappointing. My husband had the veal which as also very average in quality. We felt the price for the meal was too much for the quality/quantity of food.

Good location with great view on the lake. Staff very kind and friendly. The food was very good, from the traditional north-italian cuisine. Delicious pasta and risotto and excellente cheese.

Fabulous setting to eat the great pasta. Everything is good it was our second visit and will not be our last.
