An amazing hotel for the price. Rooms are spacious and well laid out. Showers are great. Gym is way bigger than the pictures online. Staff was great. Valet and parking was reasonable. You have to come here.Only issue we had was the bar closed at 10 and the food prices were a bit high which is to be expected but would be nice it they were more reasonable for dinner.

After initial contact with front desk to check in which was very helpful and pleasant, went to my room to find it was not the room I reserved. Went back to the front desk and experienced a different front desk person who was, hands down, the most rude and condescending person I have ever experienced in the hotel business. The room was extremely small for the price and while beautifully decorated was not at all functional. The king room came with one chair, and the door to the bathroom is full frosted glass, including a frosted glass panel between the shower and the bed consequently if one person gets up in the night and turns on the light in the bathroom the entire room is lit up like daytime. Also, as mentioned by another reviewer the parking garage is a scam hotel charged $19 per day for a garage that is open to the public for $13 a day. I could deal with the quirks of the room because the hotel ambience is charming and the location is very convenient, but rude staff and overcharging is unacceptable. There are lots of other good options in the area, this is not the luxury hotel it claims to be or charges you for.

Pros:Location easily walkable to the battleship and nestled on the main drag of restaurants and bars. We had a nice view from our room.Aesthetic: It's very visually appealing, cool art, lots of clean lines and it's bright and happyCons:THE BATHROOM 1) No fan. So the bathroom steams up and you can't cover any ahem noises.2) Our toilet wasn't firmly secured to the floor and make a loud KLONK any time you sat on it. I informed the front desk about this twice.3) Shower water pressure was laughable. The setup of the shower is great, a rain head with a hand held. Having all water in the hand held looked to be about the same water flow that you get out of a watering can for your garden.Lighting While there are lots of fun options none of those allow you to use the restroom or sink at low light. If you need to use the restroom in the middle of the night or are going to bed/getting up at a different time than other folks in the room, you'll be doing it in the dark unless you want to wake them up or they have an eye mask onTV the tv size is good, the offerings were fine, the resolution was 1990s grainyBed size was fine, but it was the firmest hotel bed I have EVER slept on. And the mattress protection zipper was thick/coarse enough to be felt through the top sheetThis hotel is not worth what they charge.

Wow! Glass Light Hotel met all of our expectations. It was clean, amazing staff, and in the perfect location. We were therebon the stay and cruise package. We had about a 5 minute walk to check in and bag drop off for the cruise. The coffee in the morning was amazing! If there is an issue with your room they will address and fix it if possible. They will also move you to another room if needed.I would definitely recommend Glass Light Hotel in Norfolk.
