The Veranda - Niu

Always a lovely time on Thursday evening w the amazing Johnny Valentine. We enjoyed the sunset cocktail, peppers, tako, vegetable crudités, seafood tower, venison pappardelle, and my favorite, deviled eggs. Mahalo Nui Veranda.

We sat out here for drinks so no comment on the food. Very nice quiet place to sit with friends and have drinks. The service was very quick and friendly. We did walk by when they were having the classic tea service, and if we had time, we would have done that. It looked quite nice.

We had a wonderful time at the Veranda. The teas were excellent and the foods were delicious! The service was great! The hostess was friendly and we enjoyed our time there. The restaurant was so sweet to give my pregnant daughter in law a Congratulatory cake to celebrate her impending delivery. Would definitely go back again!

The ambience can't be beat. The service was fantastic too and I love how they explain the different teas, pass them around to even sniff them and don't pressure touch to make a selection. The sandwiches and scones were also delish and I especially loved the mango “jam” and the pineapple chutney(? . It was an experience and a lovely page to enjoy high tea.

Please keep the flies away while we are dining. We understand it is open air dining but just not healthy. Also, we were seated near the door overlooking the swimming pool etc. and everytime some one comes by the door, automatically opens the door and strong wind blew our hat, papers etc. Doors should not open automatically when someone passes by the door. It was annoying.
