Gaststaette Waldfrieden - Niesky

Went for lunch today with a small family group. The food was very tasty, praise to the chef, and huge portions. You have to go there really hungry, otherwise you won't be able to manage these portions. The boss serves herself and is very friendly and open-minded. You have to take your hat off to run a restaurant and keep it running in these times. I can only recommend it. I actually can't understand the bad reviews, the atmosphere and ambience are right for a country restaurant. If you have higher demands, you should go to a 5 star temple, where a meal costs upwards of €30. We were very satisfied and will be returning soon. All the best to Teresa and her team.

I could write exactly the same review as Daniel. The food was ok, portions were generous. However, I cannot recommend the liver. A little salty. The drinks were served wasted because they were poured too full. To take the order, the waitress sat down at the neighboring table. Nan doesn 't get a bill, the bill was also miscalculated in our favor. The radio and TV were running at the same time, which is annoying and doesn 't work at all. The furnishings: GDR charm, if you like it... You could make the inside nicer. Neat chairs, for example, are necessary. The shelves behind the counter were already bending, careless and cheap furnishings. Dissolute, sloppy is quite fitting. The fact that the landlady is not from the area is no excuse

Total gastronomy experience , the boss sits down at the table to take the orders and collect them. You have to say collect because there is no bill. Then you miscalculated . Some of the drinks we ordered were slightly spilled, but no matter, it wasn't cleaned up either. Since we ate outside, we naturally smoked while we were clearing up. So cleared away with cigarette in hand . Nothing works at all. And waited far too long for the food we ordered. Absolutely not recommended and not a second time. Bon appetit
