Vegetarian friendly. Fresh food. Soft spoken owner Jignesh bhai Patel gave a fabulous service. Best indian food in nice.
First time we ordered from the restaurant last year it was very good, maybe the cheese naan a bit dry but the sauces great. Today we ordered a few dishes and we barely just tasted it, so disappointing. Cheese naan so dry without cheese, beignet d’oignon soo dry, like couple days old, i couldnt swallow, and lentil curry...well that was super weird: so sad to spend 40€ on such simple food and not being tasty!
My wife and I visit this restaurant from time to time when we go to the center of Nice during the weekends. We eat here often because even though the restaurant is small, and may not have the best ambiance, the quality of Indian food is pretty good and the host always tries to customize the dishes to our taste palettes. It is very conveniently located just below Place Massena, the prices are reasonable, the food tastes authentic and the quantities of the portions are large I don't expect much more from an Indian restaurant outside India
Fancying a change from the lovely seafood offerings etc in the Flower Market et al, I hunted high and low for this place as it's tricky to find (being underground!! . Well worth it though and actually Indian. Front of house is the owner and his wife is the chef. The food is clearly prepared upon order as it doesn't arrive 2 minutes later as with many UK Asian restaurants!! As mentioned by others, the venue is small and could be off putting to some in terms of location décor, but it was most enjoyable food. My choice was a chicken tikka (which was excellent! followed by a lamb vindaloo with rice (also excellent!
