Walker's - Niagara On The Lake

Depending on the time of year will determine what fruit you will find . This place has a feel good, supporting the local farmer kind of feel to it. Fresh strawberries were plentiful on this visit, last year was cherry season when we stopped in.

For 80 years, the Walker family has had a country store and bakery on the lovely Niagara Parkway. Great place for goodies to take home. They bottle all their own jams and jellies and the pies especially the Cherry is to die for! Do not miss this place!

We stopped in at Walkers for a drink and and a snack after a trek through the gorge. We picked the egg salad sandwiches. The sandwich was great, the egg filling was bursting from the bread, the bread and filling were fresh and enjoyable. Sat out from for awhile and watched the world go by, quite relaxing.

Stopped here to pick up some local foods. Staff was very helpful in allowing us to try before we purchased. Delicious maple syrup, apple cider, snacks, and much more.

Walker's is located just outside of Niagara-on-the-Lake and has been family operated since the 1930's.It is a nice lunch stop serving sandwiches and pies including cherry and peach.You can also get fresh fruits and vegetables,nuts,ice cream and pastry items.They have tables and chairs out front to enjoy all of the above in a park like setting.
