We tried Virsa the other night and were not disappointed. With Covid-19 going on and Ontario being presently in lockdown, we cannot dine in anywhere. We are doing our best to support the local restaurants as much as we can though by eating take-out. My...wife ordered the Chicken Korma, $14.99), I had the Kardai Chicken, $14.99), we also had the Chicken Biryani rice, 13.99), Garlic Naan bread, $4.50), and Chocolate Naan bread for dessert, $9.99). All the dishes were delicious. My wife 's dish was boneless chicken cooked in a creamy cashew nut gravy. Our only mistake when ordering it was forgetting to saying mild. Notwithstanding the spiciness, it was excellent. My wife loves the taste of the spices, she just can 't handle the heat. My Kardai Chicken was boneless chicken cooked in a Kardai sauce with bell peppers. The sauce is a myriad of spices and tomato sauce, the taste which has to be experienced to be described. Simply delicious with just the right level of spiciness for me. The Biryani dish was among the best that I have tasted. Spicy to the right degree with tender, fluffy rice. The Naan bread was your typical dish and very soft. For dessert, the Chocolate Naan was simply one of the best desserts that we have ever had. Naan bread stuffed with Belgian dark chocolate and hand grated coconut. It was to die for. I hate that phrase, but in this case, it is worth it). All in all, Virsa Fine Indian Cuisine restaurant is definitely worth a visit.
The food was delicious and the staff was extremely friendly...would highly recommend this place to anyone...
It had a large dining area. We wanted Indian food and went there. The service is average and food was also average. We didn't get the feeling of freshly cooked food.
This was the most disappointing Indian food experience I've ever had. I ordered a Papdi, which was supposed to include chickpeas, pakoras, potatoes, and tamarind sauce according to the menu. However, what I received was store-bought papadums mixed in yogurt and filled with onions. When I asked about the missing ingredients, I was simply told, "This is what it is." The restaurant did not offer to correct the mistake, and their attitude was unprofessional. I would not recommend this restaurant, not only because of the poor food quality, but also because of their arrogant demeanor. It's hard to consider the food "fine" when the service is lacking refinement. I'm thankful I didn't order anything else and waste more money on their subpar offerings.
