This is a small, quiet, family-owned bar. Mainly local residents hang out there after their workday. While there is a menu, the food that is served depends on what they are cooking that day, and it is very limited. The food is homemade and delicious... just don't expect anything fancy. The prices can't be beat for drinks or food. Sometimes it is a sausage and sauerkraut dinner. Other times it is cabbage rolls. If you're looking for an out of the way, local 'dive bar' (in a good way), then stop in for a drink.
It has been a year since we have been to the Belleview Tavern but the chicken fingers, served only on Friday nights, are still as good as ever and the same price($9). As far as I can tell everything else is also still the same. BTW, a pitcher of beer is still $10.
Only the locals know about this bar. It has only one beer on tap (Labatt's Blue) $10 for a large pitcher. We had chicken wings, 20 for $10 and chicken strips that came with french fries and onion rings for $9. Both were excellent. There were a lot of chicken strips, more than I could eat. I think my husband and I could have shared the chicken strips and still had more than enough. The tavern is clean, with a limited menu but the food is hot and cheap with very large portions.
Great sushi, friendly staff, big space and accessible for strollers. Has a changing station for babies.
