Contribuiți la feedbackWe stayed in the Crown Royal hotel and this restaurant is on the 10th floor. We booked for 6:00pm on Saturday. We requested a window seat and it's a Birthday. They honoured our requested. Our server was Alvin. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. He prepared my pineapple margarita without the spice. It was delicious. I ordered the linguine carbonara and my husband had the salmon. The only thing I didn't like was that his didn't come with a side dish. There was a little bit of shredded veggies but that looked likedecoration. So we ordered a side of macaroni and cheese. We got 4 buns with our meal. The food was delicious. The view was mostly of the American falls, off to the side. I only wished they decorated for Christmas. There was no tree. They did have great Christmas music. And the server brought me a complimentary sticky toffee pudding with ice cream for my Birthday. It was a great experience.
View is fantastic. Server was very friendly but we would have appreciated being told the sides are massive. Baked potato as big as your head. The steak was good but cheapest one is $69 for a 7oz filet (does not come with any sides) and I've had better. Spent a whopping $350 (2 adults, 2 kids meals, no alcohol) and had lots of leftovers. There's also a giant lump of coarse salt on my plate that I kept getting mouthfuls of. All in all, would have preferred to pay less and not have such huge portions on the sides. I recommend sharing things.
What a horrible meal. It was one of those evenings when my wife and I decided to treat ourselves to a nice dinner. We were looking forward to a memorable culinary experience, but sadly, it turned out to be quite the opposite. The steak, which we had hoped would be tender and packed with flavor, could almost give Applebee's a run for its money in terms of toughness and tastelessness. Even the trusty companion of many meals, ketchup, could not salvage this disaster. And to add insult to injury, the lobster, a delicacy we had eagerly anticipated, was smothered in a white sauce that attempted to mask its lack of taste. Needless to say, the entire meal left a bitter taste in our mouths and ruined what should have been a special evening. The disappointment started with the steak. As soon as I took the first bite, my teeth sank into a tough piece of meat that required an unusual amount of effort to chew. It was as if I was trying to break down a rubber tire rather than savoring a quality cut of beef. The lack of tenderness was surprising, considering the reputation of the establishment. The flavor, or rather the lack thereof, was equally disappointing. The steak seemed to have missed the mark completely, devoid of any juiciness or savory notes. It felt like a missed opportunity to showcase the culinary skills of the chef.In a desperate attempt to salvage the meal, I asked for ketchup. Adding ketchup to my steak is not something I typically do, but desperate times call for desperate measures. Unfortunately, even this trusted condiment could not come to the rescue. No amount of ketchup could mask the toughness of the steak or infuse it with the flavors it so desperately needed. It was a futile effort, and I realized that this meal was beyond repair. As if the disappointment with the steak wasn't enough, the lobster dish took the disappointment to another level. Lobster, known for its delicate and sweet flavor, should have been the highlight of the meal. However, it was drowned in a heavy white sauce that overpowered the natural taste of the seafood. The sauce seemed like a desperate attempt by the chef to compensate for any shortcomings in the lobster's freshness or quality. Unfortunately, it did more harm than good. The sauce was anweful and failed to enhance the natural flavors of the lobster. It simply masked the already underwhelming taste, leaving us longing for a genuine seafood experience. What made this experience even more disheartening was the fact that my wife and I had been looking forward to this dinner for a long time. We rarely get the chance to go out and enjoy a nice meal together, so we had high hopes for this occasion. We had imagined a romantic evening, filled with delectable dishes and delightful conversation. Instead, we were met with disappointment and frustration. Our anticipation turned into regret, as we realized that this opportunity had been squandered by a lackluster dining experience. This meal was an unfortunate combination of tough and tasteless steak, unappetizing lobster smothered in a thick white sauce, and the overall letdown of an evening that was meant to be special
We had a great dinner! The food was delicious and came out quickly. The server Michael, was extremely kind and attentive. We even got a free dessert for our anniversary. I would definitely come back here next time I'm in the area!
We were celebrating my two tweens birthdays in Niagara Falls and decided to check out Prime instead of doing the Keg like we would normally opt for.We had an amazing view of the falls and fireworks. There is a kids menu, and both girls loved their meals. I ordered the ribeye and a side of Mushrooms and it was amazing. It was well seasoned, tender, and perfectly cooked easily the best steak I've ever had.My kids were surprised with a birthday treat too which was unexpected.Yes, it is not a cheap restaurant, but the value is definitely there. Well worth trying, we will be back!
