Maggies - Newtown

It's about a birthday or a special occasion. the menu is fantastic and the service is good. I recommend it to anyone looking for this more special food in newtown. byo, but for heaven's sake, make sure that its quality... drops to fit the food.

The ambiente leaves much to wish, ie formica tables, very white, non-invitating restaurant. don't let you disappoint when it's a jewel hidden. there are so many Thai restaurants in sydney (actress is sydney 2nd place for the number of Thai restaurants). so it is hard to stand out so that everything I can say there is a small menu clear so that they can concentrate on everything, fresh and cooked for perfection.

Here for a birthday party and got the carving, it tastes delicious! and the portion glue was great so that a plate was carved enough for me to half. would like to go back. each plate that each person ordered was shiny clean. that is worth visiting!

This is probably the best chicken hunter carving I have ever had. The atmosphere is great and they have a good selection of beer and wine. Just be aware that they do not accept credit cards, so make sure to bring plenty of cash.

I recently visited this hidden gem with some friends during a trip to Sydney and it was absolutely fantastic. The owners and staff gave us a warm and friendly welcome. The open kitchen was bustling with activity and you could see the passion and skill put into the cooking. I loved that you could bring your own bottle of wine, as I enjoy bringing my own selection. Our group of 11 pretty much ordered everything on the menu and every dish was outstanding. The atmosphere was great and everyone around us seemed to be enjoying their meals. Small touches like automatically bringing glasses of water to the table and having a jar of sweets for us to enjoy at the end were appreciated. This place is perfect for any occasion and I will definitely be returning. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
